Competitive America's Cup racing is the ultimate sailing experience. For an America's Cup racing experience your group is divided into two teams which will be aboard two America's Cup yachts to actively participate in a competitive racing sail. No sailing experience is necessary to enjoy the thrill of an America's Cup race adventure! Racing adventures are perfect for corporate team-building, wedding events, family celebrations, yacht club events, fundraisers and much more. 12 Meter Charters are more than your typical sailing adventure. Our sails combine the history of Newport and beautiful Narragansett Bay with the unparalleled, interactive sailing/racing experience only an America's Cup contender can offer! During your sail the captain and crew will not only offer information about the history of Newport, the yachts and the America's Cup but they will explain sailing/racing techniques and get, those willing, fully involved in the sailing of the yacht. Help crew grind the winches, hoist the sails, or just enjoy beautiful Narragansett Bay. After practicing a few sailing maneuvers the excitement of racing begins! Suddenly, everyone wants to WIN! Will your team be able to sail your America's Cup boat to victory? The winning team members will each receive an official 12 Meter cap! All of our 12 Meters have competed in the America's Cup and include: * Columbia US-16, first 12 Meter to win the America's Cup, built in 1958. * Easterner US-18, three time America's Cup competitor, built in 1958. * Heritage US-23, America's Cup challenger and newest in the fleet, built in 1970. This three hour sail can be arranged as a daytime or sunset sail. Each sail accommodates up to 28 people, aboard two yachts. Prizes will be distributed to the winning team members. Chilled soda and water are complimentary. Guests are welcome to bring their own beer, wine, and food. Sails depart from Bowen's, Newport, RI.

Sails available May 15 -- October 15 in Newport, Rhode Island. Sailing dates and times are subject to availability. Sail must be completed by October 15, 2007 for all auctions closing before July 31,2007. For auctions closing after July 31, 2007, sails must be completed by October 15, 2008. Sailing dates may be arranged well in advanced but exact time of sail will not be finalized until a week before charter date.

As with all of 12 Meter Charters' events, no sailing experience is necessary to enjoy the thrill of sailing on our America's Cup 12 Meters. With our experienced crews, sailing participation from our guests is welcomed but never required. Take part in the sailing of an America's Cup 12 Meter or just sit back and enjoy the scenic views of Narragansett Bay at sunset.

Then we gently ascend and float between 500 and 1,000 feet, wherever the wind takes us for about an hour. On landing, we celebrate with a champagne or fruit juice toast, an old European tradition.
The ticket is fully transferable, so you can keep it for yourself or acquire it as a gift for a friend, loved one, or valued employee. It is a gift they will thank you for again and again! A list of the 150 pilots' names and scheduling phone numbers come with the ticket.
